Madalitso Chambukira Profile

Madalitso Chambukira is a distinguished Agricultural and Applied Economist specializing in economic policy analysis, policy facilitation, and both micro and macroeconomic impact evaluations. His work includes research on socioeconomic issues and Monitoring and Evaluation of development projects. He has secured research grants from the Sustainable Food Systems Programme (FoodMa) at LUANAR and the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Legume Systems Research.

He has also presented his research at notable international conferences, including the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Legume Systems Research Global Convening in Livingstone, Zambia (February 20-24, 2023), the 7th African Conference of Agricultural Economists, and the 60th Agricultural Economics Association of South Africa Conference – Durban (September 2023).

He has collaborated with research teams from Malawi, Zambia, and Kenya on projects such as the Malawi Rural Agricultural Livelihood Survey (MRALS-2019), the WASH project in Dowa, the Malawi Resilience and Disaster Risk Management Project, the Malawi Drought Recovery and Resilience project, and the Malawi Watershed Services Improvement project.
